Manufacturing Sanitation Worker

To name a few, our Manufacturing Sanitation Worker will:
Be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards throughout the manufacturing facility. This includes cleaning floors, equipment, restrooms, breakrooms, and ensuring a hygienic environment in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum production areas, hallways, offices, and other facility spaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and break areas regularly.
- Empty trash, recycling, and other waste receptacles throughout the facility.
- Clean spills promptly and report hazards or unsafe conditions to management.
- Operate floor-cleaning machines and other janitorial equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform routine deep cleaning tasks such as pressure washing, stripping/waxing floors, etc.
- Replenish janitorial supplies (soap, paper products, cleaning agents) as needed.
- Assist with snow removal, salting, or landscaping support when required.
- Adhere to all safety and health procedures, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation standards, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Support general maintenance tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment.
- Basic understanding of chemical safety and usage.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to manufacturing noise, machinery, dust, and chemicals.
- May require working during non-standard hours or weekends depending on production needs.
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
