Data Cable Installer
Duties:
- Install CAT5e/CAT6 cabling as directed from plans/drawings for client, label cables, punch down and terminate ends, test and verify. Troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide customized solutions.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding low voltage systems.
You will be working on a job site for 12-15 weeks at a time.
We pay for your lodging, give you a per diem for food, and pay .45 per mile plus travel time.
Technicians who perform well will receive wage increase for their next location.
Technicians who perform above and beyond may be selected for management positions resulting in higher wage and a company vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with data cable installation, maintenance, or repair is required.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related, including the NEC (National Electrical Code), is helpful.
- Proficiency in using power tools and other equipment necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and provide technical support.
Please note that this job requires you to travel to the job site, or thereabouts, and be there for up to 15 weeks. Sometimes more work is needed, more time, and you will be compensated.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
