About the role

The Technology Consultant acts as a trusted advisor, understanding the unique needs of each client, and recommending technology solutions that align with their goals and requirements. These systems can range from conference rooms to large-scale event spaces, complex manufacturing. Responsible for establishing new opportunities and fostering current relationships.

What you'll do

• Maintain a minimum book of business of $2.5M annually.
• Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their requirements, objectives, and budget constraints.
• Perform needs assessments, analyzing existing infrastructure, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide expert recommendations and insights on the best technology solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of the client.
• Create comprehensive proposals, including cost estimates, equipment lists, and timelines for the implementation phase.
• Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to coordinate resources and ensure smooth project implementation.
• Address any issues or challenges that arise during the project and find effective solutions.
• Stay current on new technologies and evolving industry practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Technology Consultant or in a related role, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients, team members, and vendors.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to finding solutions.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years related experience in a technology sales role
• Customer service mindset
• Energetic, self-starter with a positive attitude
• Strong attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills
• Certifications in CTS, CTSD, CTS-I, RCDD, BICSI Tech or Industrial Controls
