Job Summary
This role is responsible for the coordination of the ski program with area schools as well as assisting the Tickets & Rental Department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the solicitation and coordination of school program participants.
Provide customer service and work ticket/rental/pass sales booths.
Answer the phone and assist all resort guests that call.
Think creatively about how to increase skier visits and pass sales.
Handle all guest complaints and relations to assure superior guest satisfaction and professionalism.
Handle cash, credit cards, room charge and membership payments.
Provide guests with key local information and assistance.
Respond to inbound sales calls, answer inquiries, and provide information and/or follow up materials as requested.
Perform general clerical duties, including but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.
Coordinate with Tickets & Rental Assistant Manager any needs for special programming including but not limited to Field Trips, School Programs and Day Groups.
Maintain records on attendance, participants, incident reports, personnel, etc.
Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails.
Support staff in assigned project-based work.
Report any concerns and suggestions of guests in a timely and responsible manner to the Tickets & Rental Assistant Manager
Monitor incoming guest survey data, flag for appropriate correspondence.
Order, organize and distribute departmental uniforms.
Monitor competition web sites and relay pertinent information.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Power Point) and Microsoft Publisher. Able to create accurate reports in Access & Excel with formulas and graphs.
Effective business writing skills (grammar, vocabulary, clarity and brevity).
Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
Self-directed and able to maximize use of time, resources and technology.
Able to analyze, interpret and present data in various formats.
Able to work with computers, faxes, copiers, scanners and various other technologies in offices and on resort.
Maintains office, employee and company confidentiality at all times.
Dependable and meets goals.
Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.
Education:
Minimum two year degree or combination of experience and post high school business related course work.
Prior experience in hospitality industry a plus.
Physical & Other Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
