Job Summary
A Banquet Server provides effective food and beverage service, guest attention, and overall logistics of banquet events by way of set-up, clear communication and teamwork, while maintaining the company’s standard for excellence, resulting in the overall success of banquet events.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledgeable of event menu items and their contents, appropriate table settings and service ware, and the correct preparation and garnishing methods.
Responsible for setting up, serving, maintaining, and breaking down banquet rooms and food lines/ stations.
Respond to requests from guests, supervisors or management in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain supplies neat and organized to department standards.
Maintain security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day.
Review Function Sheets at the beginning of each shift.
Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the Conference Center.
Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guests to Banquet Manager/ Captain.
Keep inventory of all Conference Center equipment in order and stored in their appropriate areas.
Transport any and all items needed for an outdoor event not within the Conference Center and tent areas.
Work with the kitchen to accurately fulfill orders from the function sheets and special requests from groups.
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
Understand and can communicate products and services available at the resort.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications

TIPS/TAMS Trained.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
Physical & Other Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk and hear.
The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
