Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Athletic Trainer to join our outpatient clinic, specializing in an industrial setting. In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for employees in industrial and occupational environments. CTI is dedicated to allowing you to become your best self through continuous education, professional mentorship, and a highly collaborative rehabilitation model alongside our talented team of therapists and athletic trainers.

Key Responsibilities

Injury Prevention & Wellness

· Design and implement workplace injury prevention programs, including ergonomic assessments, stretching routines, and employee education on proper body mechanics.

· Conduct workplace health and wellness workshops, promoting physical fitness, safety, and healthy lifestyle choices for employees.

Clinical Assessment, Management & Rehab

· Evaluate acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, provide immediate clinical care, and develop individualized treatment plans.

· Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to restore physical function and support recovery.

Return-to-Work Coordination

· Collaborate with employers, physical therapists, and occupational health teams to create safe, effective, and progressive return-to-work protocols.

Documentation & Compliance

· Maintain highly accurate, confidential, and timely clinical patient records (including injury reports, treatment plans, and progress notes) in compliance with HIPAA, OSHA guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.

· Current certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC).

· Current state licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of Wisconsin (or eligible by first day of work).

· Experience completing clinical rotations or training in an industrial or outpatient clinical setting (preferred).

· Experience with industrial or occupational health programs and familiarity with workers' compensation processes (preferred).

· Strong clinical knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation techniques, and prevention strategies.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate and motivate patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

· Proficiency in ergonomic assessments and workplace safety protocols.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, assisting patients, and demonstrating therapeutic exercises.

Schedule & Travel

  • Full-Time position.
  • Monday through Friday (with occasional early morning or evening hours to accommodate client/workplace schedules).
  • Travel: May require occasional local travel and visits to industrial worksites for assessments or training.

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
