THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS A DEVELOPMENTAL SPECIALIST
This is a full-time position requiring consistent coverage during program hours, with flexibility based on operational needs.
In this role, you'll lead Day Habilitation Aides and support habilitative goals, ensuring individuals experience respect and safety. You'll provide skilled teaching, evaluate progress, and collaborate with teams and families, all while maintaining accurate documentation. Your work will focus on community integration, compliance, and human rights advocacy, shaping independence and meaningful outcomes.
OUR IDEAL DEVELOPMENTAL SPECIALIST
We're looking for someone who can meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree is preferred)
- 3 years of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a Habilitative/vocational setting
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work collaboratively as an active member of multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to be flexible, open, and responsive to ongoing industry changes
- Ability to carry /lift supplies as needed
- Physical ability to support community, gym, and pool activities
