Duties

• Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversation
• Assist customers with selecting pool equipment, accessories, lighting, and renovation supplies based on their project goals
• Provide product demonstrations and explain features of pool products, lighting design options, and maintenance tools
• Use sales techniques such as upselling and cross-selling to maximize customer satisfaction and store revenue
• Collaborate with customers on layout design, remodeling plans, and renovation ideas using tools like SketchUp or CAD when applicable
• Manage inside sales transactions including cash handling, POS operations, and retail math calculations accurately
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and merchandise products to ensure an inviting shopping environment
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in high-end pool products, lighting sales, interior design elements, and outdoor living solutions
• Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new product launches to customers

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred; enthusiasm for outdoor living or swimming pools is a plus
• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers
• Familiarity with outside sales techniques, negotiation skills, and account management practices
• Knowledge of SketchUp, CAD software, or layout design tools enhances ability to assist with remodeling projects
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations, cash handling, and POS transactions
• Understanding of lighting design, lighting sales, remodeling processes, and maintenance procedures is beneficial
• Organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and product demos effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
