Compensation: $23 - $30/hour D.O.E.

Position Summary

As a Shuttle Driver for Activities & Adventure Programs at Crystal Mountain, you will greet, transport, and provide information to our guests. You will commit to providing excellent experiences and memories for our guests. Primary driving responsibilities include operating truck & trailer shuttles in the meadow for guests of the ropes course and 15-passenger van shuttle service from Crystal Mountain to Sunrise Visitor Center in Mt. Rainier National Park.

Essential Duties

• Transport guests from the base area up to the top of Discovery Meadow for visitation to the Flying Raven Adventure Course.
• Occasionally operate shuttle service from Crystal Mountain to Mt. Rainier National Park.
• Conduct daily pre-inspections on vehicles in operation for that shift.
• Respond to customer concerns/questions
• Contribute to a positive working environment
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure working environment
• Inspect equipment for safety concerns
• Promote and market activity options to our guests
• Help oversee stock levels and alert management when supplies are needed
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings and necessary trainings
• Gather guest feedback and recommend improvements to management
• Establish pre-function side work to be performed and make sure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition, notifying the Manager of any issues.
• Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service by anticipating the needs of our guests even before they realize what they need
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management. Notify supervisor of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items or alleged thefts.
• Develop and maintain an organizational culture, values and reputation with staff and guests.
• Ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment.
• Act as a representative of Crystal Mountain with guests & community members.
• Abide by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines.

Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• Clean driving record.
• Applicants with CDL and passenger endorsement preferred.
• Must be comfortable operating passenger vans and trucks towing trailer.
  
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• This position is required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays while in operation.
• Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position at least 50 pounds occasionally.
• Position requires extended periods of driving and transport duties. Must remain attentive to road conditions and adhere to all rules and regulations pertaining to operating a vehicle.
• Able to perform basic mechanical tasks on vehicles (i.e. back and attach trailer to truck).
• Auditory and visual acuity to operate radios, mobile devices, and basic outdoor equipment constantly.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling constantly.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees, must be able to listen and respond with proper customer service.
