Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, programming, and precision measurement, with experience operating CNC milling machines and related equipment. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment for each job.
- Program CNC mills using CAD/CAM software, including Fanuc controls and other programmable logic controllers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce precise components.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues during operation.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify part dimensions.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts or hand tools as required for loading/unloading raw materials and finished parts.
- Assist with fabrication tasks involving press brake machines, stamping presses, welding, or assembly line work when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards and manufacturing protocols.
- Document production activities accurately for quality assurance and process improvement purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code or M-code; experience with Fanuc controls preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or similar design tools for part modeling and tooling design.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and precision measurement instruments including calipers and micrometers.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of fabrication processes such as welding, stamping presses, tooling setup, and materials handling.
- Previous factory or warehouse experience is advantageous; familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols is essential.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
