WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Review production schedules to determine the number of billets required, parts per billet, and necessary temperatures for solid and hollow extrusions.
• Ensure proper billet temperature settings and direct the press crew to align efforts on every order run.
• Continuously inspect material for non-conformance issues such as die lines, tears, broken holes, and scratches.
• Address employee inquiries regarding policy and provide thorough training for new team members.
• Recommend improvements to the Production Supervisor related to policy, process, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Actively engage in continuous process improvement initiatives and participate in company tours for customers as requested.

WHO YOU ARE

• Combination of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in leadership and participation or completion of leadership program preferred.
• Previous press operating experience preferred. Normally acquired through three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
• Must be able to read and use measuring equipment such as: calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and digital gage tables.
• Must have experience reading blueprints and parts drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO certification and processes preferred.
