POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of the Category Manager are to drive the performance of Crystal Farms Dairy Co. brands through analytics and insight development. The position will partner with cross-functional teams to create and deliver Go-To-Market strategies to ensure the achievement of Crystal Farms volume and EBITDA targets. Key areas of focus will include sales strategy, development of the 4P’s (product assortment, pricing, promotion, and placement), new product introductions and planning across all customers.
The position will primarily support the sales and marketing teams. In support of the sales team, the Category Manager will help guide the development of customer and channel strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and using syndicated data to build compelling sales presentations for new and existing customers. In support of the marketing team, the Category Manager will provide fact-based insights to inform decisions related to pricing strategy, new product innovation, and portfolio management. Additionally, the Category Manager will play an active role in the Crystal Farms Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle, providing monthly performance updates and identifying emerging issues. The Category Manager will have a Category & Customer Analyst reporting directly to them.

Customer & Category Development: (40%)
- Work with corporate team to develop “top down” insight driven national selling stories and promotional platforms for existing items and all new commercialization projects
- Collaborate with sales team to create customer-specific sales presentations
- Influence customers by identifying specific opportunities, assist with any research and lead projects to deliver solutions benefitting both customer and category
- Own the category review and/or joint business planning process at key strategic customers
- Develop customer prioritization and targets for expansion
- Be the category and customer expert to the brand team
- Develop and own the management and monthly updates of the reporting “toolkit” encompassing decomposition reporting, dashboards, etc.
- Continually develop customer and channel insights, including competitive intelligence
- Maintain and update syndicated database to reflect changes to Crystal Farms portfolio and competitive landscape
- Provide forecasting perspective inclusive of but not limited to historical baseline, category seasonality, macro & micro trends
- Provide accurate and actionable analysis for marketing and business issues as they arise
- Provide monthly performance tracking against sales and marketing KPI’s into the Crystal Farms IBP process
- Connect total business performance to key drivers at the channel, customer, and product segment levels
- Identify short- and long-term performance drivers (price, promotion, product, and placement) and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
- Add consumer/consumption perspective to the IBP process
- 3-5 Years of experience - CPG sales, trade marketing, category management preferred.
- Experience using syndicated data to identify business insights and opportunities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Team Oriented with ability to work cross-functionally and provide work direction and development to Analyst reporting to this position
Salary : $75,564 - $111,834
