What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager position at Crystal Event Rentals & Design?
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager ensures that all logistical and operational aspects of the warehouse run smoothly. This role is critical in managing inventory, scheduling event staff, and remaining in contact with operations managers to meet client and business demands.
Key Responsibilities: (40 Hrs)
Manage inventory, including tracking, replenishing, and organizing stock.
- Ordering new or replacement items - updating to Goodshuffle
- Approval required for any inventory orders placed that are over $500 per sitting/event
Coordinate event & warehouse staff schedules, ensuring that all team members are allocated effectively.
- Schedules to be drafted 1 month prior to events
- Finalized, approved by “Operations Manager” and published to staff 2 weeks before event
- Quantity and size of previous events, will determine how many days a warehouse assistant is needed (ie: 3 large events with 100 people, would justify 2 warehouse assistants or 2 warehouse days)
- Large projects happening in the warehouse would justify additional warehouse days or staff (ie: cleaning chair cushions, repainting chairs, building new inventory, styled shoots, etc.)
- Quantity and the size of events, will determine how many event leads are needed for a week (ie: set up windows are short, multiple event set up windows happening simultaneously, an elaborate inventory set up, food bars, etc.)
Oversee warehouse operations, including packing, loading, and equipment maintenance.
- Oversee linen process
- Perform quality control on all items and document in the system
- Work with partnered companies to ensure fulfillment of any outsourced needs (ie: Flowers, linens, furniture)
- Maintain Van (Maintenance & oversee cleanliness)
- Oversee the overall cleanliness of the warehouse
- Resetting warehouse during slower weeks (ie: reorganizing boxes with like items to ensure mixing of items has not happened (candles, flowers, votives), items on table or racks are placed in their correct boxes, boxes are located in their correct location on shelves in warehouse, floor is swept or mopped when needed, trash has been taken out)
- Ensure event emergency kits are organized, restocked, and ready for events
- Upkeep the organization of the refill station (batteries, pens, S hooks, etc.)
- Fixing damaged or broken inventory items
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse, (Shelving/storage side is kept organized and presentable, overall smell of space is constant, trash is taken out)
Work closely with the Operations Manager to address logistical challenges and implement solutions.
Attend and participate in weekly huddles and quarterly meetings.
Maintain records and documentation for equipment, rentals, and operational processes.
- Send owner receipts of purchases monthly
- Update goodshuffle on new items and loss of items within 1-week of occurrence.
- Any uhaul or outsourced equipment
Hire, train and supervise warehouse staff to maintain high performance and safety standards.
Maintain track the Company credit card usage
Must attend 2-4 events monthly
Comfortability with unconventional hours & working weekends
This is a hands-on role that involves lifting, moving items, and being on your feet throughout the day
