Veterinary Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the clinical team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on animal health and well-being, utilizing a broad range of veterinary-related skills and knowledge.

Duties

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure
• Schedule appointments, manage client records, and handle phone inquiries efficiently
• Collect payments and process medical collections accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception area and treatment rooms using aseptic techniques
• Ensure proper documentation of veterinary terminology, laboratory results, and patient histories

Requirements

• Prior experience in veterinary clinics or animal care settings is highly desirable, including kennel experience and animal husbandry knowledge
• Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures, animal anatomy, aseptic techniques, and laboratory processes
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and experience
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle pet owners professionally and compassionately
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• A genuine passion for animals combined with excellent organizational skills is essential
• Must be a team player
