What are the responsibilities and job description for the PART TIME COURIER / DELIVERY DRIVER position at Crystal Courier Service?
We are seeking a part time, dedicated and reliable courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of packages and documents. You will be responsible for navigating designated routes, providing exceptional customer service, and handling various types of deliveries. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- You'll start your workday at 9 am sharp, and then work until approximately 12:30 (although generally earlier), Monday through Friday.
- If you have the ability to work an occasional afternoon, we sometimes have opportunities to extend your hours but that is not mandatory. While the flexibility isn't mandated, it certainly helps our small team if possible.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles (compact cars) to pick up and deliver goods to various locations. You can use our fleet vehicle or use your car and be reimbursed for mileage.
- Follow our routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Organize your own route, load and unload packages.
- Although most of our deliveries involve small parcels (less than 10 pounds), some are heavier so driver must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures from recipients and taking pictures of all pick ups and deliveries through our app.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
- Communicate with office staff (dispatch) as needed.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.

- Must have clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with moving packages.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Aptitude for technology, easily able to navigate our dispatch app.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail for accurate record keeping and delivery confirmations.
