The main goal of the Crystal Coast Cancer Rehab Center is to improve the cancer survivor's quality of life and to offset any symptoms or side effects they may experience as a result of their diagnosis and treatment.
Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Cancer Exercise Specialist to join our team in a full-time, on-site position located in Morehead City, NC. This role involves creating customized exercise programs for clients recovering from or managing cancer, implementing evidence-based exercise prescriptions, leading group exercise sessions, monitoring progress, and providing motivational support. Additional responsibilities include working collaboratively with other health professionals, educating clients on the benefits and techniques of exercise post-cancer treatment, and ensuring safety throughout all program activities.
Qualifications
- Experience in Exercise Physiology and Exercise Prescription, particularly for individuals recovering from or managing cancer
- Proficiency in Group Exercise and Strength Training to guide clients of various ability levels
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide education and support to clients
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
- Relevant certifications (such as ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist or equivalent) required
- CPR certification is required
