What You’ll Do
- The Night Shift Charge Nurse (RN) coordinates the CCOC operations working in collaboration with the CCOC leadership. Coordinates work, monitors work performance of providers in assigned areas and is a resource for problem-solving in clinically complex situations.
- Collaborative relationship with unit managers and directors of the units served to facilitate operations in proven effective patient care.
- Responsible for assuming on-site supervision for the continuum of care within nursing on evenings and night shifts, including resource allocation with the units, facilitation of patient flow, assurance of quality care, clinical and departmental problem solving and communication with the administrator on call when appropriate.
- Coordinates patient throughput across the continuum encompassing all departments to provide efficient and effective quality patient care; Facilitates timely discharge of patients with declining medical status with admission to a facility with a higher level of care. Responds to patient needs offering skills/experience etc.: EKG completion or in the event of difficult IV/lab draws, etc.; maintains availability to assist staff during times of high volume/admissions/discharges.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program preferred.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of demonstrated leadership and management experience preferred; 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in field or profession required.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care in clinical settings. High level of clinical accuracy with attention to detail. Strong knowledge of safety protocols and infection control standards. Empathetic and respectful communication. Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
- License/Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio. BLS required. ACLS required within 3 months of hire.
