What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Hand and Wrist position at CRYSTAL CLINIC ORTHOPEDIC CENT?

The Essentials:
- Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week) | Monday-Friday | 8AM-5PM
- Location: Fairlawn, OH
- Specialties: Orthopedics/Hand and Wrist
- Travel: May be required to travel between clinic locations as needed
What You’ll Do:
- Supports Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Providers in the outpatient clinic setting. Including assisting in general maintenance of equipment, supplies, and exam rooms.
- Responsible for rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, completing thorough documentation in EMR, preparation of injections, front desk phone calls, assisting with procedures, including the application and removal of casts and the fitting and educational use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
- Assists physicians and advanced practice providers with special procedures, gathers necessary equipment of instruments, positions patient and responds to instructions given by physician or advanced practice provider.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of demonstrated experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant required within 6 months of hire. Preferred Associations and Certifications are: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) – CMA, American Medical Technologists (AMT) – RMA, and National Healthcareer Association (NHA) – CCMA. BLS required within 3 months of hire.
