The Essentials:
- Schedule: Part-Time (32 hrs/week) | Monday-Friday | 7:30AM-5PM | No weekends/holidays
- Location: Fairlawn, OH
- Specialties: Orthopedics
- Travel: May be required to travel between clinic locations as needed
What You’ll Do:
- Provides clinical and administrative support in outpatient care and durable medical equipment (DME) services under the supervision of licensed providers.
- Performs patient intake, records vitals and medical histories, manages EMR documentation, assists with procedures, prepares injections per physician orders, responds to clinical calls per protocol, and performs staple/suture removal and dressing application.
- Fits and educates patients on DME, coordinates insurance authorizations, and maintains clinical areas to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Prepares EMRs for new patients, ensures forms are complete and accurate, reviews progress notes and urgent orders, and prepares charge tickets.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited program required. Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as an Athletic Trainer or related field, preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems preferred. Knowledge of clinical safety protocols and quality standards. Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and clinical demands.
- License/Certifications: Current license to practice Athletic Training in the State of Ohio required; Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC), Inc. for Athletic Trainers preferred; BLS required.
