Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, waxers, carpet extractors, and scrubbers to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle floor cleaning chemicals safely, applying appropriate techniques for floor scrubbing.
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, or supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, hallways, and other designated areas with attention to detail.
- Follow environmental services best practices by properly handling chemical agents and disposing of waste responsibly.
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical agent handling.
- Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely during routine tasks.
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or visitors.
- Knowledge of environmental services practices focused on sustainability and safe chemical use for health and safety compliance.
