Schedule And Pay

1st Shift: Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM OR Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM - 3:15 PM ; Friday 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Salary Grade G

$25.75 - $31.55

Job Summary

The Drafter is responsible for creating drawings of cabinets, cabinet parts and cabinet accessories using computer assisted equipment and software.

Job Duties

• Receives dealers orders and/or special requests and creates AutoCAD drawings for specific product types all based on production date priority schedule.
• Communicates with dealers to answer questions and obtain needed information specific to items being drawn.
• Consults with CNC Programmers to determine appropriate cabinet construction methods and processes.
• Utilizes extensive knowledge of computer-assisted drafting (CAD) to create drawings.
• Uses Inventor software to create 3D images.
• Creates Bills of Materials as needed.
• Collaborates with Manufacturing Departments to clarify and verify drawing requirements.
• Attends and contributes to Special Request Meetings as assigned.
• Prints and proofs the drawings to ensure accuracy of drawing, sizing and all data provided.
• Updates the drafting library for new and revised product.
• Participates in company projects requiring a drafting resource and/or changing of drafting process.
• Uses Windows software to communicate via email with internal/external customers and to also obtain information about vendor products, etc.
• Collaborates with and answers questions from Special Request Technicians and CS specific to products that require drawings or special requests.
• Identifies issues and provides input for PDF catalog and company specifications.
• Participates in dealer trainings, travels to visit dealers/shows, etc., but not required.
