Duties
- Carefully press and shape dry cleaning to meet specified standards, ensuring the proper care for delicate clothing.
- Operate pressing machines and related equipment safely and efficiently
- Sort garments by type, fabric, and customer instructions before pressing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pressing area to promote safety and productivity
- Assist with laundry and dry cleaning processes as needed, ensuring proper handling of delicate fabrics
- Handle customer items with care, providing friendly service and addressing any special requests
- Accurately record garment details, including counts and special instructions, to ensure proper tracking and delivery
Skills
- Previous experience in hotel laundry, dry cleaning, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of garment care, fabric types, and pressing techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math for counting garments and handling cash transactions if required
- Basic cleaning skills to maintain a tidy work area and equipment hygiene
- Experience with cashiering or cash handling procedures is a plus
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads comfortably
