Overview
We are seeking a skilled Installer to join our team, responsible for deploying and maintaining telecommunication and networking systems. Duties
- Install and configure fiber optic cables, Ethernet wiring, and telephony systems according to project specifications.
- Perform fiber splicing and testing to ensure optimal signal quality and system performance.
- Conduct network installation activities including cabling, patching, and system integration in various field locations.
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues.
- Ensure proper mechanical installation of hardware components while adhering to safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on telecommunication systems.
- Document installation procedures, system configurations, and test results accurately.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in service technician roles within telecommunication or networking fields.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking, Ethernet cabling, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring.
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing and network installation projects.
- Mechanical knowledge related to cable management, conduit installation, and hardware mounting.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely in various field environments.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting using ohmmeters or similar testing devices.
- Field service experience preferred with a focus on telecommunication infrastructure projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in technical work.
- Valid driver's license or relevant certification is a plus. This role requires physical dexterity for working in diverse environments and the ability to follow technical instructions precisely. Candidates should be committed to safety standards and quality workmanship at all times.
