Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including unloading materials, setting up equipment, and protecting work areas
- Perform demolition work as needed, including removal of drywall, flooring, tile, fixtures, doors, and windows
- Install and assist with windows, doors, framing, flooring, tile, showers, and trim work
- Perform carpentry tasks, including framing, repairs, and general handyman work
- Perform interior and exterior painting, including prep work (patching, sanding, priming, and finish coats)
- Assist with basic electrical and plumbing tasks under supervision (fixtures, outlets, lighting, drains, etc.)
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Support skilled tradespeople by providing tools, materials, and assistance as needed
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites throughout the workday
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Participate in safety meetings and job-site training as required
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on schedule
Preferred Experience
- General construction experience
- Carpentry and handyman skills
- Painting experience (interior & exterior)
- Experience with window and door installation is a plus
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or related manual labor roles is required; willingness to learn on the job is essential
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety procedures and a proactive attitude toward maintaining a safe work environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly
- Reliable, punctual, with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and machinery is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed
