Crusoe Energy is seeking an accomplished and proactive Logistics Lead to take a strategic leadership role in scheduling, arranging, and coordinating complex logistics operations across the company, focusing heavily on inbound freight and outbound deployment. This role is critical for optimizing our transportation efficiency, owning carrier relationships, and providing hands-on leadership across all logistics functions, including the Packaging/Wrapping Department. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in transportation, supply chain management, and thrives in an agile environment where cross-collaboration is key to operational excellence. This is a full-time position.

Compensation will be paid in the range of $31-$35/Hr Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

What You’ll Be Working On
- Strategic Dispatch & Transportation Management: Schedule, coordinate, and optimize the dispatch of equipment, materials, and resources for various operational projects. You will own transport and freight agreements, including selecting, evaluating, and negotiating with carriers to ensure shipments adhere to company policies and minimize risk of damage, loss, or theft.
- Route & Load Planning: Plan inbound and outbound routing, load sequencing, and trailer optimization for multi-stop and high-volume deliveries to maximize efficiency.
- Carrier Performance & Evaluation: Evaluate carrier and supplier performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rate, damage-free delivery rate, freight cost per pound/mile, and carrier responsiveness.
- Packaging / Wrapping Department Oversight: Lead the wrapping and packaging team, ensuring all products and materials are packaged in a professional, secure, and presentation-ready manner consistent with company standards. You will implement and enforce packaging best practices (e.g., proper dunnage, standardized wrapping, labeling accuracy) and track packaging KPIs (e.g., packaging accuracy, pack-out time, defect rates).
- Leadership & Team Management: Serve in a leadership role overseeing all logistics functions, including shipping, receiving, and inbound freight coordination through final delivery. You will manage personnel scheduling, performance, and development, promoting accountability, a safety-first workplace, and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Cross-Functional Forecasting & Collaboration: Collaborate extensively with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, On-Site Crews, and 3rd Party Vendors to forecast material and equipment needs and coordinate complex deployment schedules. You will also work with the Quality team on material requiring inspection, approval, or rejection before packaging or shipment.
- Process Improvement & Operational Excellence: Analyze logistics, shipping, and packaging data to identify opportunities for improvement in cost, throughput, and freight efficiency. You will champion best practices (e.g., standardized pallet configurations, 5S, FIFO/FEFO) and lead or participate in Kaizen events and continuous-improvement projects to optimize workflows.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or an equivalent field is required. You must have extensive experience in logistics coordination and transportation management, preferably in the energy industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge and understanding of logistics, supply chain, and shipping procedures, including various freight modes (LTL, FTL, heavy haul, international).
- Leadership & Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and project management abilities.
- Metrics & Ownership: Demonstrated ability to build and design reports for KPI and OKR tracking and proven ownership of transport agreements.
- Experience managing a departmental logistics budget.
- Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
- Experience with heavy haul equipment coordination.
