POSITION DETAILS

Full-time opening available for Plant Operator/Manager at our Apple Valley location, hours will vary due to operational needs. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting crew in all aspects of quarry operation as assigned
• Operating and maintaining heavy equipment machinery
• Maintaining all equipment
• Properly following all company policies and adhering to all governmental regulations
• Welding, repair, and fabrication on rock crushing equipment associated with a quarry operation.
• A focus on safety and strong work ethics
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and rigorous physical activity in all weather conditions.
• A background in quarry operations
• A strong mechanical aptitude
• A valid driver's license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

EXPERIENCE

Required:

• 2 year(s) Relevant work experience and/or training and education

EDUCATION

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED or better

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Class C Drivers License
• Must be minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to Read, Write and Communicate simple instructions and records effectively
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Experience in welding, cutting and basic fabrications
• Operate electric and pneumatic tools
• Ability to work in tight quarters and confined spaces
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions while providing hard physical labor
• Knowledge of electricity and mechanics
• Ability to effectively direct others in the workplace while representing the company in a professional and ethical manner.
• Ability to be dependable and reliable while displaying a courteous attitude at all times.
• Ability to be tested and pass a drug test at all times.
