We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Back of House Shift Lead who is ready to take charge and ensure smooth operations during their shift.
Position Overview: As a Back of House Shift Lead, you will oversee kitchen operations, lead our kitchen staff team, and ensure that all food preparation meets our high standards. You will play a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, while also mentoring and leading the team to achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Oversee food preparation, portioning, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, track supplies, and assist in placing orders to ensure the kitchen is adequately stocked.
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Monitor and manage kitchen equipment, ensuring it is well-maintained and functioning properly.
- Address any issues or concerns that arise during the shift, escalating to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen leadership role, preferably as a Line Cook, Kitchen Supervisor, or similar position.
- ServSafe Certified
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
