Join Our Team as a Safety Manager!
Crush-It, LLC is hiring a Safety Manager to lead safety and compliance across our mobile crushing operations. Are you a proactive safety professional ready to make an impact?
This role reports to the President and works closely with our leadership team and operations management to protect our crews, improve our processes, and ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT/ FMCSA, and insurance requirements.
You’ll split time between office and field, traveling weekly to jobsites across Florida and neighboring states. The right candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), field-ready, and able to coach crews while enforcing safety standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain and develop safety policies, OSHA programs, and training
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to integrate safety into every aspect of the job.
- Conduct jobsite inspections, audits, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Manage OSHA logs, DOT files, HOS, hazmat shipping, and vehicle compliance
- Investigate incidents, document corrective actions, and close out within deadlines
- Serve as the safety point of contact for incident investigations and OSHA inspections.
- Facilitate new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training
- Report directly to the President and work side-by-side with field leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in crushing, construction, or industrial operations.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred, CHST or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, Workers’ Comp
- Experience working within a captive (preferred)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Tech-savvy: Able to navigate and use a laptop, tablet, mobile apps, Microsoft Office, and digital systems with ease.
Travel:
- A company pick-up truck and company credit card will be provided.
- Ability to travel regularly across job sites in rugged field conditions.
- A clean and insurable driving record is required
- Travel currently includes the following states: Florida (Office is based out of Riverview), North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas.
- Regular work schedule would allow for ability to be home on weekends.
