The Staff Accountant Role


The Staff Accountant (Part-Time) is the financial backbone supporting our club operations and growth! Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing full-cycle Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), and reconciling accounts, you will work closely with leadership to ensure our books stay spotless. This is a hybrid part-time role (~20 hours per week) that offers remote work flexibility with the requirement to attend periodic in-person meetings and team huddles at our North Attleboro location.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• QuickBooks Master: Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and financial record-keeping within QuickBooks Online.
  
  
• Accounts Payable (A/P): Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, verify approvals, prepare weekly payment runs, and maintain positive vendor relationships.
  
  
• Accounts Receivable (A/R): Monitor incoming club revenue streams, reconcile membership and personal training billing reports, manage vendor billing, and resolve payment discrepancies.
  
  
• Financial Reporting & Month-End: Assist with month-end closing processes, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and generate clear, actionable financial reports for management review.
  
  
• Team Collaboration: Work remotely for core weekly tasks while attending scheduled periodic in-person meetings and operational reviews at our North Attleboro club.

• You’re a Self-Motivated Remote Worker: You excel at managing your own 20-hour weekly schedule, meeting deadlines independently, and communicating proactively.
  
  
• You’re a Local Team Player: You live close enough to North Attleboro to pop in for key strategy meetings, financial reviews, and club events!
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  
  
• Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Required) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs).
  
  
• Accounting Experience: 2 years of hands-on experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
  
  
• Work Location & Schedule: Remote flexibility for ~20 hours per week, with the ability to attend periodic required in-person meetings in North Attleboro, MA.
