Position Summary

Crumbl Cookies of Salem is seeking a dependable, motivated, and experienced leader to join our bakery leadership team.

This opportunity is intended for someone capable of taking ownership of daily bakery operations, leading employees with confidence, and helping maintain high standards for quality, service, food safety, productivity, and team accountability.

The right candidate may enter at different levels of responsibility depending on their previous experience, demonstrated leadership ability, operational knowledge, and readiness to manage others. We are open to developing a strong operational leader or considering someone prepared to take on broader management responsibilities.

Mandatory Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old due to required equipment
• Full-time availability, including Saturdays, weekends, and holidays

• Previous leadership experience
• Strong professional work ethic and leadership presence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time-management, planning, and organizational abilities
• Ability to coach employees and hold team members accountable
• Attention to detail, especially when inspecting ingredients and finished products
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
• Willingness to solve problems and support the team wherever needed
• Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to grow and accept increased responsibility

Primary Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Help oversee daily bakery operations and shift execution
• Maintain Crumbl’s standards for quality, speed, hospitality, and cleanliness
• Direct employees and communicate clear shift priorities
• Support production across mixing, balling, baking, dressing, warmer management, and order fulfillment
• Make real-time decisions to maintain an efficient workflow
• Monitor inventory and communicate shortages or operational concerns
• Support labor goals by assigning work based on business needs
• Complete required leadership reports and communicate accurate updates
• Open or close the bakery as assigned
• Assist management with maintaining consistent operations at both Salem locations

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead by example and maintain a positive, professional presence
• Coach employees in real time and provide clear, respectful feedback
• Assist with onboarding, station training, and employee certification
• Delegate responsibilities and confirm that assigned work is completed
• Hold team members accountable to company policies and expectations
• Help develop employees for future leadership opportunities
• Identify performance or training concerns and communicate them appropriately
• Support a respectful, productive, and team-focused workplace

Production and Quality

• Read, understand, and accurately execute Crumbl recipes
• Operate commercial mixers, ovens, and other bakery equipment
• Inspect products throughout production to prevent quality issues and unnecessary waste
• Ensure finished products meet Crumbl’s presentation and quality standards
• Maintain organized, stocked, and service-ready workstations
• Assist in any production area when operationally necessary

Food Safety and Compliance

• Enforce food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
• Ensure proper handwashing, glove use, uniform compliance, and break procedures
• Verify product quality before orders are presented to guests
• Support completion of required training modules and weekly content
• Ensure equipment and workstations are properly cleaned and sanitized
• Complete required safety and operational checks

Guest Experience

• Create a welcoming and professional experience for every guest
• Model excellent hospitality for the entire team
• Ensure orders are accurate, complete, and properly presented
• Address guest concerns professionally and provide appropriate resolutions
• Assist with customer orders and payments when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous leadership or management experience
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong attendance
• Experience directing employees or overseeing shift operations
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn and consistently follow Crumbl operating standards
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Flexible full-time availability, including Saturdays, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership or management experience in food service, hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced environment
• Experience with employee coaching, training, and accountability
• Knowledge of bakery production or food-service operations
• Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
• Experience managing inventory, labor, or daily operational priorities
• Interest in continued leadership and management growth

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, demonstrated leadership ability, operational knowledge, and the level of responsibility assigned.
