Position Summary

The Shift Lead serves as an operational leader within the bakery and helps ensure each shift runs smoothly, efficiently, and according to Crumbl standards. This position supports production flow, guest experience, training, food safety, labor goals, and overall team accountability. Shift Leads lead by example and assist in developing the next generation of bakers and team leaders.

Mandatory Requirements

• Pleasant interactive skills, time and resource management, and planning skills
• Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products
• Basic math and computer skills
• Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, fulfill orders, and create excellent baked goods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead shift execution while maintaining quality and speed standards
• Support mixing, balling, baking, dressing, and warmer management
• Ensure recipes and Kitchen App procedures are followed exactly
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages
• Help maintain labor efficiency and shift productivity
• Read and understand Crumbl recipes
• Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, ovens, and other equipment to make cookies (must be 18yo per Oregon Law to mix)
• Decorating and displaying the finished product
• Ensure finished goods meet food safety and quality controls

Leadership & Team Development

• Coach and support crew members in real time
• Assist with onboarding and station certification
• Hold team members accountable to company standards
• Communicate shift priorities and updates clearly
• Support positive team culture and professionalism

Food Safety & Compliance

• Enforce food safety and sanitation standards
• Ensure handwashing, uniform, and break compliance
• Verify quality standards before product reaches customers
• Support completion of required training and weekly content
• Cleaning and restocking the workstation and ensuring all equipment is sanitized

Guest Experience

• Maintain excellent customer service standards
• Resolve guest concerns professionally
• Ensure accuracy and presentation of all orders
• Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations
• Accepting orders and payment

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 90 days employment in current position (Tier 2 Preferred)
• Demonstrated reliability and attendance
• Completion of required Crumbl training modules
• Ability to work independently and lead others
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous food service leadership experience
• Knowledge of Crumbl operations and production flow
• Strong organizational and coaching abilities

Compensation

Pay Scale – Based on current company compensation structure and performance expectations.

• Tier 4 Supervisor / ASM (Full-Time)
