Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Defense Attorney to join our team. This role is ideal for an attorney looking to further develop trial skills while managing a diverse caseload and building a successful litigation practice. The selected candidate will represent a variety of clients, including businesses and public entities, and gain hands-on experience across all phases of litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support and collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on litigation matters
- Manage assigned cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, pre-trial, and trial phases
- Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and reports
- Conduct depositions and participate in court appearances, hearings, and trials
- Advise clients on legal strategy, risks, and business-related matters
- Negotiate settlements and work toward favorable dispute resolutions
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and updates
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction (e.g., California)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation or a related practice area
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and legal documentation
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain client relationships
Salary : $130,000 - $250,000
