Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of Palo Alto firewall components as part of a large-scale data center migration.
- Manage VPN tunnel configurations, B2B connectivity, and firewall policies for each application and vendor owner, ensuring secure and seamless migration.
- Collaborate with application owners, network teams, and security stakeholders to validate requirements, assess dependencies, and coordinate cutovers.
- Develop and maintain migration plans, technical documentation, and configuration standards to ensure repeatable, reliable implementation.
- Troubleshoot complex firewall, VPN, and B2B connectivity issues, providing actionable recommendations and rapid resolution.
- Conduct post-migration validation and testing to ensure compliance with security policies and operational continuity.
- Maintain awareness of best practices, emerging security technologies, and Palo Alto product capabilities to inform architecture and design decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client teams, providing guidance on firewall architecture, policy optimization, and secure connectivity strategies.
- Delegate and direct additional engineers, providing guidance, task assignments, and oversight to ensure work is executed accurately and efficiently across the migration effort.
