Job Description 

Domani Inspection Services is seeking an experienced Land Survey Crew Party Chief to join our Pre-Construction Monitoring Department in our New York office. In this key role, you will lead a team dedicated to conducting comprehensive optical settlement monitoring across New York City. Your work will be essential in ensuring that our clients remain compliant with the Department of Buildings (DOB) mandated requirements related to Support of Excavation (SOE), demolition, and foundation work during construction activities.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and schedule project work tasks for multiple projects. 
• Conducting settlement monitoring surveys of New Building Construction and their adjacent properties to ensure any movement is documented clearly and presented to our clients in a timely fashion.   
• Check and reduce raw field data, perform calculations and download/file survey data 
• Locating boundary lines within MTA and LIRR tunnel structures and above ground property to ensure  
• Work within the survey control network to provide accurate control points for laser scanning activities. Ensure all control points are meticulously placed and verified.  
• Implement quality assurance protocols to maintain the highest standards of surveying accuracy and consistency. 

Requirements

• Experience with Total Stations (Leica TS16), Digital or automatic levels, laser scanners and GNSS Systems 
• Education or experience in land surveying essential.  
• Exceptional note and record keeping ability. 
• Must be able to carry out direction, work with others, and maintain communication with management and other crew members throughout the day. 
• Ability to produce detailed reports to be sent to clients for all site visits.  
• Physical work demands: 
  1. Ability to traverse and navigate rugged terrain 
  2. Ability to work in all weather conditions 
  3. Ability to transport heavy equipment to various job site in the city and boroughs. 

Compensation

$65,000-$100,000 Per Year. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
