Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Special Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction materials testing and possess the necessary certifications to perform the required inspections. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform special inspections of concrete and masonry structures in compliance with NYC Building Code and other applicable standards.
- Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and clients to ensure inspections are performed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Certifications:
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician (Grade 1)
- ACI Concrete Special Inspector or ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
- ICC Reinforced Masonry Special Inspector
Qualifications:
- At least 1 years of experience in special inspections or related field.
- Strong understanding of construction practices and materials testing.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within the NYC area.
