Role Description The Roofing Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Gig Harbor, WA. This position involves performing roof inspections, repairs, maintenance, and cleaning on residential and commercial properties, including debris removal, moss treatment, gutter cleaning, and minor roof component replacement. Day-to-day tasks include safely working at heights, using hand and power tools, identifying roof issues, documenting work performed, and communicating clearly with team members and supervisors. The Roofing Technician follows safety protocols, loads and unloads materials, maintains equipment, and supports the team in meeting scheduling and quality standards. The role may require working in varying weather conditions and occasional overtime to meet customer needs.
Qualifications
- Ability to safely work at heights, on ladders, and on various roof pitches, with strong awareness of OSHA and company safety practices.
- Hands-on skills in basic construction or roofing tasks, including use of hand and power tools, material handling, and job site cleanup.
- Physical capability to lift and carry materials, climb, bend, and work for extended periods outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail for inspecting roofs, identifying issues, and completing repairs and maintenance accurately.
- Reliable work habits, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and interacting professionally with customers when needed.
