Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Content Packout Team Lead to oversee and coordinate the packout and inventory of contents from residential and commercial properties affected by fire, water, mold, or other damage. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate handling of customer belongings, including documentation, storage, and eventual return.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead teams responsible for content packout, inventory, cleaning, storage, and pack-back operations.
- Coordinate logistics of content removal from job sites to storage facilities.
- Conduct pre-packout site inspections to assess scope and determine appropriate staffing, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of contents, including photos and documentation using inventory software (e.g., Encircle, iCat, XactContents).
- Communicate effectively with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise the cleaning, deodorization, and restoration of contents when applicable.
- Ensure proper packing, labeling, and handling of fragile, high-value, or sensitive items.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and customer service standards.
- Train and mentor packout technicians on best practices and procedures.
- Provide project updates, status reports, and documentation to clients and adjusters.
- Assist in estimating packout jobs and tracking project costs and timelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in contents restoration, moving & storage, or disaster recovery.
- 1 years of experience in a supervisory or project management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with inventory software, Microsoft Office, and mobile documentation tools.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- IICRC certification in Fire & Smoke Restoration (FSRT), Water Damage Restoration (WRT), or Contents Processing Technician (CPT) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including packing, lifting, and moving.
- Work may involve exposure to various environments including fire/smoke damaged, water-affected, or mold-contaminated properties.
- Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required during emergency situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
