Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain common areas of the hotel, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
- Maintain public elevators, landings, restrooms, stairwells, the pool, and fitness center.
- Clean and maintain associate locker rooms through sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and turndown duties.
- Remove trash from public areas (inside and outside) and litter from the parking lot.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate with other departments to ensure excellent service.
- Stock, organize, and maintain linen closets and supply rooms.
- Respond to guest requests to ensure satisfaction and engagement.
- Handle and store chemicals according to hotel regulations and local laws.
- Report any health and safety incidents, security breaches, or suspicious behavior to a supervisor.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to detect uncleanliness and maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work independently and engage with guests effectively.
- Strong communication skills in the primary languages used in the workplace.
- Familiarity with necessary software and applications for housekeeping tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements
A high school or equivalent education is preferred. Prior cleaning or hospitality experience is preferred.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required.
Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with Crowne Plaza Lansing rules and regulations for the safe and effective operations of the Hotel’s facilities. Associates who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including, separation from employment.
