Job Summary
The Bartender & Server plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing high-quality food and beverage service in a full-service hotel restaurant. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Bartender Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks.
- Engage with guests, providing recommendations and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and washing glassware.
- Process payments, handle cash, and operate POS systems efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines while handling beverages and bar equipment.
Server Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide menu recommendations based on preferences.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve meals and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and quality standards.
- Upsell and promote specials, premium beverages, and additional menu items.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including table settings and side work.
- Handle guest concerns professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assist with event service, including banquets and private dining experiences.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or bartending preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service abilities.
- Certifications: TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) and Food Handler Certification preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
- Indoor setting with moderate to high noise levels.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 2-3 shifts per week
- Frequent interaction with guests, team members, and kitchen staff.
