Resident Care Aide – PRN

The Meadows Assisted Living in Atmore, AL is currently accepting applications for a PRN Resident Care Aide to join our team. This position provides non-professional direct resident care under the supervision of nursing personnel and plays an important role in helping our residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.

This is a PRN/as-needed position with shifts available based on facility needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
• Must be able to speak and understand English
• Previous resident care experience or completion of an appropriate training program preferred
• Must have a dependable and compassionate approach to resident care
• Positive attitude and a genuine desire to work with elderly residents
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts based on facility needs
  
  

Essential Job Functions

• Provide direct assistance to residents with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, personal care, and other daily needs
• Assist residents to and from meals, activities, and other areas of the facility
• Provide assistance during dining and meal service
• Observe residents and report changes or concerns to nursing personnel
• Help maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment
• Treat every resident with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion
• Perform additional resident care duties as directed by nursing personnel
