Position Details
- Part-Time Contract Position
- Flexible, self-scheduled designated day(s)
- Independent Contractor
- Typical earnings range from $15–$60 per resident, depending on services provided
- Opportunity to build a loyal resident clientele in a supportive healthcare environment
- Current Alabama Cosmetology/Beautician License in good standing
- Must meet all applicable state licensing requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a passion for serving the elderly
Responsibilities include providing salon and personal grooming services for residents, including:
- Shampooing
- Set and roll
- Blow drying and styling
- Haircuts
- Hair coloring
- Perms
- Pressing and curling
- Beard trimming, shaving, and grooming
- Manicures
- Pedicures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized salon environment
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining service records as needed
- Following all sanitation and infection control guidelines
- Building meaningful relationships with residents while promoting their confidence, dignity, and overall well-being
- Providing a positive, welcoming salon experience that enhances each resident’s quality of life
