TITLE: Production Associate III – 1st Shift
Overall Objective: Oversee a group of employees and motivate them to do their job efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Production Supervisor in directing the work of others in the production area
- Ensure all members of the line understand the work instructions by conducting proper training
- Work efficiently and communicate appropriately with other members of the line
- Maintain pace to ensure orders will be completed on time. Perform work assignments timely and accurately
- Demonstrate ability to operate all equipment safely and properly
- Demonstrate good working understanding of quality processes (VCI rules, non-conforming product, etc). Identify and correct errors quickly
- Weigh parts consistently if required. Seal and label containers appropriately
- Ensure all materials and parts are present on the line before starting a new work order
- Ensure product is placed on skid in accordance with work orders
- Support supervisor by preparing required reports, assisting production employees, and providing support in other production areas as needed
- Meet productivity standards
- Complete required paperwork accurately, timely, and legible
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
- Observe safety and security procedures; reports unsafe conditions, uses equipment and materials properly
- Report job-related injuries immediately
- Control and monitor all work order changeovers. Follow established procedures for re-stock.
- Conduct spot-checks
- Sign off on all Best Practices, Large Audits, and Quality Audit Forms
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic computer skills / verbal and written communication skills / basic math skills
- Must be able to stand 8-10 hours a day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work overtime when required
- Able to meet all mandatory training for position
- Consistently be at work and on time
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Ability to work in stressful situations
