About the Role. As a Material Handler/Forklift Operator, you will be a vital part of our warehouse operations, utilizing your skills in materials handling, forklift operation, and warehouse experience. Your experience in warehouse management and forklift operation will enhance our warehouse processes and contribute to overall efficiency. With relevant skills in order picking and processing, you will ensure safe and accurate shipping and receiving procedures. Essential Functions:
- Reading and interpreting bills of lading and other shipping/receiving paperwork.
- Operating a forklift to gather materials and products for orders.
- Pulling and preparing orders, to include wrapping and tagging outbound freight.
- Review all incoming shipments for accuracy and check for damages or missing materials.
- Generate warehouse shipping documents, packing slips and invoices.
- Provide coverage for Warehouse Team Lead when required.
Requirements:
- Forklift experience required.
- 3 years experience in a warehouse.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Order picking experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Team Player
- Self-starter who takes initiative.
- Ability to problem solve and report problems to appropriate personnel when needed.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office and ERP.
