Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload items using appropriate equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual handling techniques
- Pack belongings securely to prevent damage during transit, ensuring all items are properly labeled and organized
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, including box trucks and larger commercial vehicles
- Drive route-specific delivery vehicles, including courier vans or
drivers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols - Support customer service efforts by communicating professionally with clients during pickups and deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving supplies and equipment in the warehouse or storage areas
- Assist with inventory management by tracking items moved or packed, ensuring accurate records are kept
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, moving, or packing roles with a focus on heavy lifting and manual handling
- Experience as a delivery driver or courier, demonstrating route driving efficiency and punctuality
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions during deliveries or pickups
- Strong organizational skills to load/unload efficiently and maintain accurate records of shipments
