About the Role:
The Depot Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods between the depot and various delivery points within the United States. This position requires a dependable individual who can manage loading, transporting, and unloading cargo while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. The Depot Driver is responsible for maintaining the condition of the vehicle and ensuring that all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule. This role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers. Ultimately, the Depot Driver contributes to the overall success of the supply chain by providing reliable and professional transportation services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle class being operated.
- Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely, typically up to 50 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a depot or delivery driver in a logistics or transportation environment.
