Wright Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team for second shift. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for our residents by ensuring timely and accurate laundering of linens and personal clothing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold facility linens and residents’ personal laundry
- Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure proper handling and labeling of residents’ clothing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Follow infection control and safety procedures
- Report equipment issues or supply needs to supervisor
- Assist with delivery and distribution of clean laundry throughout the facility
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus, but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
