Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality mental health care to adult clients and families in a hybrid work setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with primary mental health and co-occurring disorders
- Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring patient understanding of treatment plans
- Provide supportive psychoeducation to individuals and families
- Educate clients and families about medications and treatment expectations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate clients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Experience in psychiatric or mental health settings
- Ability to work effectively with adult clients and families
- Proficiency in conducting psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatments
