We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient assessment skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality care in diverse settings. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services, coordinating patient care plans, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management.
- Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and ostomy care when necessary.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to document patient information accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Monitor patients' physiological responses during treatments such as dialysis, ventilator management, or critical care interventions.
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain patient safety.
- Provide education and health coaching to patients and their families regarding disease management, medication administration, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers; Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, geriatrics, or behavioral health environments.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; experience with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is advantageous.
- Critical care experience with ventilator management, airway management, and advanced life support certifications such as BLS or ACLS.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and sterile processing procedures.
- Ability to perform complex procedures including phlebotomy, venipuncture, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Strong communication skills combined with compassionate patient care approach; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus.
