Summary
The Saw Operator is responsible for setting up and operating saw equipment to cut aluminum extrusions to precise specifications. This role ensures product quality, maintains efficiency standards, and follows all safety procedures while supporting overall production operations.

Essential Functions
- Set up and operate saw machines, including adjusting part length and blade speed to maximize efficiency while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Load lineal extrusions (6'–20' in length, 20–100 lbs.) onto the saw table carefully to prevent product damage.
- Follow all safety procedures and machine safeguards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect cut parts for damage and verify perpendicularity and length tolerances are met.
- Change saw blades as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Package finished parts according to specified instructions.
- Meet or exceed established parts-per-hour production targets.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
- Utilize measuring tools such as linear length gauges, calipers, squares, and occasionally protractors (training provided if needed).
- Operate a circular saw and nail gun to build custom skids as required (training provided if needed).
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or saw operation experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read and use basic measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
Education and Experience
- A high school Diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment. Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes are required in facilities.
- Work environment is subject to extreme environmental temperatures and significant noise exposure.
Starting pay is $20.27 per hour, with the opportunity for a higher rate based on experience, skills, and education
