Job Summary
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be at the forefront of protecting our organization's digital landscape. Your expertise will help safeguard sensitive information, ensure compliance with industry standards, and respond to potential threats with agility and precision. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our security posture and implement robust cybersecurity measures that align with best practices.
What you’ll do
- Conduct thorough security analysis to identify vulnerabilities in our IT infrastructure and recommend effective solutions.
- Implement and maintain security protocols in accordance with NIST standards, ISO frameworks, and other relevant compliance requirements.
- Monitor network security through advanced tools such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and firewalls.
- Develop and execute incident response plans to swiftly address security breaches and ensure effective incident management.
- Collaborate on identity and access management strategies to protect sensitive data while enabling seamless user experiences.
- Engage in vulnerability research to stay ahead of emerging threats and enhance our cybersecurity defenses.
- Perform IT auditing to assess the effectiveness of existing security measures and recommend improvements based on findings.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and incident recovery processes to minimize downtime during security incidents.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of computer networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and LAN/WAN configurations.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation of security tasks.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with encryption technologies and secure coding practices within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of frameworks such as FedRAMP, DIACAP, FISMA, COBIT for compliance management.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Splunk for network monitoring and incident response activities.
- Understanding of attack frameworks and computer forensics methodologies for effective threat analysis.
